Program: Program: Design a Series of Handbalancing Canes That Could be Cleverly Transported

Elegant Form Driven by Functional Design

Handbalancing, as with life, is about a balance between ease and effort. This balance provides the driving inspiration behind these handbalancing canes. While rigid in terms of structure due to a triangulated placement of unibody support branches, they are visually soft due to the sweeping organic curves that trace their profile lines.

These handbalancing canes are more than a tool. They are an interactive sculpture that channels the spirit of human form and nature.

A Product of Merging Personal Passions

Mind-body art forms and design play a huge role in my life, and this project is an exciting moment where those two things meet. It’s pretty awesome when things like this happen because I feel a holistic sense of purpose and connection behind my work.
